Terms and Conditions for Laser Engraving Services

Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order. By submitting a quote request or placing an order with Creative Legacy Etching, you agree to the terms outlined below. 

Creative Legacy Etching ("we," "us," "our") is a Veteran-owned custom laser engraving business based in Barstow, California. These Terms and Conditions govern all orders, services, and transactions conducted through our website or directly with our business. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes. 

All orders are custom-made to your specifications. Due to the personalized nature of our products, we require the following before production begins:
 

• A confirmed design or approved digital proof.
• Full payment or agreed deposit, depending on order size.
• Written confirmation of all order details including material, size, quantity, and engraving content
   

We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including orders containing content we deem inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of copyright law.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use any logos, images, photographs, or artwork submitted for engraving. By submitting artwork to Creative Legacy Etching, you confirm that you own the rights to that content or have obtained proper authorization to use it.
 

We are not responsible for copyright infringement resulting from customer-provided artwork. Creative Legacy Etching will not knowingly reproduce trademarked or copyrighted material without documented permission from the rights holder.

File Requirements: For best results, we recommend submitting artwork in the following formats:

• Vector files: .SVG, .AI, .PDF, .DXF. 
• High-resolution raster images: .PNG or .JPG at minimum 300 DPI*. 
• Low-resolution or poor-quality artwork may affect engraving results. We will notify you if submitted files do not meet our quality standards before production begins.

For most custom orders, a digital proof will be provided for your review and approval before engraving begins. Production will not start until written approval is received. 

Once a proof has been approved and production has begun, changes to the design, size, or content cannot be accommodated. Please review all proofs carefully before approving. 

Creative Legacy Etching is not responsible for errors in spelling, layout, or design that were present in an approved proof.

We accept customer-provided items for engraving on a case-by-case basis. By submitting an item for engraving, you acknowledge and agree to the following: 

• Not all materials are suitable for laser engraving. We will assess your item prior to work and notify you if we believe engraving is not advisable.
• Laser engraving is a permanent process. We are not responsible for damage to customer-provided items resulting from the engraving process, including but not limited to discoloration, material reaction, or surface damage.
• A preparation and handling fee applies to all customer-provided items in addition to the engraving charge.
• Items that cannot be safely engraved will be returned to the customer unmodified.

Payment is due as follows: 

• Standard orders: Payment in full is required before production begins.
• Large or bulk orders: A 50% deposit is required to begin production, with the remaining balance due prior to shipment or pickup.
   

We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and cash for local pickup orders. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. 

Pricing is subject to change without notice. The price quoted at the time of your order confirmation is the price you will be charged.

Standard turnaround time is 5–10 business days from the date of proof approval and payment confirmation. Turnaround times may vary based on order complexity, volume, and material availability. 

Rush orders may be accommodated depending on current workload — contact us before placing your order to discuss availability. Additional fees may apply for rush production. 

Creative Legacy Etching is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, material supply issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We offer both local pickup in Barstow, CA and shipping within the United States. 

• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or included in your quote for custom orders.
• All orders are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit. However, Creative Legacy Etching is not responsible for damage or loss caused by shipping carriers once an order has been handed off for delivery.
• If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and packaging. We will work with you to find a resolution. 

Because every item we produce is custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on completed custom products except in the following circumstances: 

• The finished product contains an error caused by Creative Legacy Etching that was not present in the approved proof.
• The item arrives damaged due to our packaging.
   

Cancellations must be requested before production begins. Orders cancelled after production has started will be charged for any materials and labor already incurred. 

If you believe there is an error on your completed order, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item at info@creativelegacyetching.com. We will review the issue and work toward a fair resolution.

Creative Legacy Etching's total liability for any claim arising from our products or services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind. 

We respect your privacy. Any personal information you provide — including your name, email address, phone number, and order details — is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order and communicating with you about our services. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties. 

Our website uses cookies to analyze traffic and improve your browsing experience. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from orders or services provided by Creative Legacy Etching shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of San Bernardino County, California.
